Ritual: Glow Oil – A Note Between Pages

Some say you must choose between fire and water— between the salt that strips away and the oil that soothes.

We know better.

One is the shedding;
the other is the sealing.

When the salt has done its work and the water has carried away what you no longer need, apply the oil to your skin, to seal and glow.

It will stay awhile, soaking in, reminding your skin of renewals and rituals.

They’ll tell you the secret is in the bottle.
They’re wrong.

The secret is in our hands.

Whispers

For centuries, women have reached for oil when they needed softness— not the kind the world demands of them,

but the kind that lets the body remember warmth.

Your glow will not come from the turmeric or the oil.

It will come because you decided you were worth this time.

Simplicity on purpose, with a purpose.

Memory

Light pools in the palms,

warm as a held breath.

In this small ritual, the skin remembers

how to shine without permission.

Ancient

Across cultures, oils were seen as more than nourishment—

they were vessels of warmth, carriers of sunlight,

a way to seal the body after cleansing and protect what had been renewed.

Ancient healers believed that after shedding, the body must be soothed, softened, and invited back into itself with care.

Thoughts

Some days, glow feels far from reach. But even a few drops of warmth on the skin remind me that radiance isn’t something I have to earn— it’s something I return to.

The oil slows me down, asks me to move gently, and lets me inhabit myself again.

The Oil – Fire Element

Purpose: Seal the new, warm the skin and spirit.

Ingredients (from your kitchen):

Oil — whatever you love or have.
Olive for warmth, sunflower for lightness, coconut for softness.

A pinch of ground turmeric for golden radiance.
A drop of honey for sweetness the skin remembers.

Optional: a drop or two of essential oil— rose for love, lavender for calm, citrus for renewal.

Ritual

In a small bowl, stir the turmeric into the oil.
Blend in the honey until it disappears.

Warm the mixture between your palms.

Press gently into clean skin— face, neck, hands— anywhere you wish to glow.

This is not a task.
It’s a conversation.

Leave for 10–20 minutes.
Wipe away with a soft cloth.

(Make this your own.)

There are no amounts given here, no set recipe

(just you in your kitchen,)

( staring at your ingredients)

(and allowing your intuition to guide you.)
